Richard Keith Elected as President of ACDLA for 2008-2009

Richard Keith, a criminal defense lawyer from Montgomery, was recently elected President of the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association at ACDLA's Summer Seminar in Pensacola, Florida.

Keith was admitted to the practice of law in 1990 after graduating from Jones School of Law in 1989. He has been a solo practitioner since 1990 and is the managing partner of the law firm of Keith & Dubin, P.C. in Montgomery. His primary focus of practice is criminal defense. Mr. Keith has represented more than 60 defendants charged with capital murder. He is Past President of the Montgomery County Trial Lawyers Association, a member of the Montgomery County Bar Association, National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, and serves as a CJA Panel Attorney for the Montgomery Federal Defenders Office.

Kevin Butler was re-elected to serve as the association’s Public Defenders

Representative. Mr. Butler is headquartered at the Federal Defenders Office for the Middle District of Alabama, in Montgomery.

The Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (ACDLA) represents nearly 600 criminal defense lawyers from around the state and is dedicated to providing programs and events aimed at strengthening the defense of the accused.
