Bill Blanchard Receives Beddow Award
The Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association (ACDLA) has named William Blanchard of Montgomery its 2010-2011 Roderick Beddow Award recipient. Mr. Blanchard received his award at the recent Annual Awards Luncheon in Pensacola Beach, Florida. The Roderick Beddow Award is ACDLA’s highest honor.
“Mr. Blanchard exemplifies one of the finest criminal defense lawyers in our state and nation and we are extremely proud to have him not only as a member, but also to receive our highest honor this year,” according to incoming President Don Colee of Birmingham. “He has already been recognized by the State Bar and his local bar for excellence in client representation and we as his peers would be remiss not to recognize his outstanding body of work, as well as his continued service to his community,” Mr. Colee continued.
“The Beddow Award -- named after Roderick Beddow Sr. who died in 1989 after practicing law in Alabama for 57 years -- recognizes lawyers for a lifetime of achievement and excellence in their field,” Mr. Colee concluded.
ACDLA is a 501c(6) non-profit association dedicated to raising excellence in the field of criminal defense.
